Operator Training

Operators of powered industrial trucks must be fully trained and employer  certified as required in recent federal regulation. As part of the  regulation, truck operators are required to complete formal classroom  training, practical hands-on training and an evaluation. Employers need an effective and comprehensive training program to meet  this OSHA regulation. TMH MidSouth helps you meet and exceed OSHA standard 1910.178 by offering specialized and comprehensive training materials and programs.

Forklift instruction takes approximately 4 hours for classes up to 10 people.  There are two operator training class options: $150 (Class Cost Per Operator) for Class I, IV, & V, or $150 (Class Cost Per Operator) for Class II & III. If you need to be trained on all 5 forklift classes, you will need to select our full day Skills Training.  Training consists of an instruction video with visual aids and discussion. A test will be administered at this time. Students are required to make 80% or better to pass the test. The last hour consists of a pre-shift inspection walk around and a documented observation of each student operating the equipment through the course. Our operator safety training programs include.
