Types of Forklift Tires

Cushion Tires

Cushion tires are composed of solid rubber are directly pressed onto the wheel. The smooth, non-traction surface of a cushion tire makes them ideal for indoor or paved applications. They sit lower to the ground and offer a smaller turning radius which makes them excellent for maneuvering tight spaces.

Pneumatic Tires (Solid)

Solid pneumatic tires are made up of solid rubber, wider and treaded, making them ideal for outdoor environments. The initial investment is higher than that of a cushion tire, but they are extremely durable and have a long life span because they can't pop or puncture.

Pneumatic Tires (Air)

Air pneumatic tires are made of rubber, but much like a car tire, they are filled up with air. They are made of strong, long-lasting rubber and have a deep tread making them ideal for rugged, outdoor terrain. Air pneumatic tires also tend to have a bouncier ride than cushion or solid pneumatic tires.
